Care for your furniture. Prepare your space.
General guidance for wood and fabric care, measuring your space and checking the furniture access route. The manufacturer’s instructions for your piece and material take priority.
Start with gentle care suited to the finish
- Dust gently with a soft, dry cloth, following the wood grain without scrubbing.
- Absorb spills promptly with a clean, dry cloth. Keep moisture off surfaces, edges and joints.
- Use coasters and suitable heat-resistant mats; keep hot items off the surface.
- Limit direct sunlight. Use no abrasives, oils or polishes unless the finish instructions permit them.
If the finish is unknown or a stain remains, ask for piece-specific guidance before using a cleaner. Test a permitted cleaner on a hidden area first.

Check the fabric instructions before cleaning
- Where the fabric instructions permit, vacuum gently with a soft upholstery attachment, including seams and corners.
- Blot spills with a clean cloth without rubbing or soaking the fabric. Check its care instructions before treatment.
- Test any permitted cleaner on a hidden area first. Let it dry and check colour and texture before continuing.
- A removable cover is not necessarily washable. Follow its label; use steam or wet cleaning only if permitted.

Check the whole access route
Room size is only part of the brief: check the route from the entrance to the furniture’s final position. Record dimensions in centimetres, with a simple sketch and photographs of any constraints.
- Measure clear door widths and heights, allowing for frames, opening direction and handles, from the building entrance to the room.
- Record the narrowest corridor points and the space available at corners and turns. A photograph alone cannot confirm that furniture will pass through.
- If access uses a lift, measure its door and cabin, and check any building restrictions with management.
- For stairs, record clear width, landing space, headroom and any fixed obstacles along the route.
- Share these measurements and request the packed dimensions of each piece or module, including whether it can be separated. Do not assume it can be dismantled.
- Compare the dimensions with the access route and flag constraints before confirming the specification. Access arrangements and timings need separate agreement for your project.
Prepare your specification and share your needs
For wood furniture, record width × height × depth in centimetres and your preferred material, colour and finish. For upholstered furniture, include room length, width and height, openings, furniture layout, fabric and colour preferences. Use the preview to explore the idea; on-screen models and colours are illustrative.
Send your furniture or room details for a quote, including any specific care or use requirements. Specifications and feasibility are confirmed after review. A saved request requires sign-in and a success message with a reference; if saving is not confirmed, contact us directly.
To discuss your idea, request a consultation and suggest a date and time. Your selected time is a preference; the appointment is confirmed after the details have been agreed.
